Eva Casson-du Mont is a landscape historian, artist and consultant. She studied History and Ecology at the University of Edinburgh (1993-2001). The aim of her work is to promote among people of all ages a deeper understanding and experience of the relationship between human communities and their environment. She is particularly interested in exploring, through both study and artistic work, the landscapes of Western mythology and their relevance for collective and individual spiritual development today. In her early years Eva trained in ballet and gymnastics, as well as taking private art and music lessons. From 1993 to 2001 she was actively involved in a Medieval and Renaissance dance and music group in Edinburgh. Since 1999 she has concentrated on development in contemporary dance forms. She performed, with Claire, in Eucharist at the St. Bride’s Centre, Edinburgh (2000) and in And you held me at St. George’s, Tufnell Park, London (2003). Her work in plastic arts and crafts includes painting, calligraphy and illumination, textiles and pottery. Since becoming a mother in 1997, Eva has also been committed to searching for new creative ways of providing children with a richness of emotional, physical and intellectual experience, helping them grow into a confident, enlightened and conscientious generation. Eva also provides bespoke consultancy services. |
